So it’s actually summer while I write this but the colours of the Deborah Lippman Spring Reverie Collection are so pretty, they can be used for every season! As you may or may not know, I have a younger sister, Kay from Twentysixnails, who is a serial polish and nail-art addict. This time, I’m glad to have worked with my sister for this blogpost since she is best at nail polishes while I always just be her nail model/guinea pig HAHA. All the swatches and nail-art were done by her.
Here is introducing the pastel colours I was given to try from this collection:
Left: La Vie En Rose, Build Me Up Buttercup, Flowers in her Hair, Blue Orchid.
Looking at all these gorgeous pastel shades make me happy!!
Blue Orchid is a sweet creamy baby blue that has a more purplish-undertone (like periwinkle) than other pastel blue nail polishes I’ve seen around. It is the right shade of creamy blue polish for me!
Build Me Up Buttecup is a butter yellow pastel shade that reminds of me sweet popcorn.
Flowers in Her Hair reminds me of Maroon 5’s Sunday Morning. Fresh and blissfully in love kind of feeling.
La Vie En Rose is a sheer pink shimmer that needs at least 3 coats. You may wear it by itself or layer over a coat of white or pink base.
With all the gorgeous spring colours, we created a nail-look by adding some small touches to them.
Gorgeous, gorgeous pastel cream colours.
Since pastel colours always remind me of colourful and dreamy things, we added a unicorn water decal and a rainbow water decal to the look.
I can haz pretty nails!
On my thumbs, I got my sister to draw a glass facet using white striper and Blue Orchid.
I’ve had the colours on my nail for more than a week now and no chipping has occurred! I am amazed. I told my sister and she was like, “high-end nail polishes are different”. In case you didn’t know, Deborah Lippmann is a celebrity manicurist who has done designed nail polishes for pop icons like Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian and Scarlett Johansson. Now now these nail polishes are really fit for king.
Honestly, I love ALL the cream colours!! But if I had to choose, the unique Blue Orchid would take my heart away because it’s such a lovely shade of blue that complements my yellow-tanned skin. And the application was a lot smoother than the rest of the colours. What shade do you like the most from this collection? Tell me!:)
xoxo,
