  • Goodbye 2013, hello 2014.

Anybody still having problems with identifying the current year as 2014? HANDS UPPP. Been meaning to post up a mandatory end of year post but didn’t get around to doing it.

2013 for me… was good I guess. There were a few downs here and there but hey I managed to pull through, didn’t I?

    1) School/Studies – 2013 was probably the only time I spent extra effort in my school work all thanks to my final year project which brought us pretty far (pun intended) ‘cos we were shortlisted to present our paper in an international conference in Dublin, Ireland (read here)!!

    DUBLIN-23

DUBLIN-14I didn’t see that coming when we first started on our project but somehow, we managed to land ourselves there and I was (still am) very freaking proud of my group members and myself. Really gotta thank my dedicated professor and team of researchers who guided us A LOT along the way. And yep I got my ass out of university with a degree. Read about my convocation here.

My parents’ dream was to watch me go to a local university. I am so glad I made them happy, although I wasn’t happy 99.9% when I was in school, haha. But yes, I managed to survive 4 year of pure torture. Here I am, out in the working force and not quite complaining!:)

    2) Work – I started work full-time at Roy’s company, Ministry of Print, in case you don’t know. You gotta follow me on Instagram if you don’t know!!!!! So basically, Ministry of Print prints t-shirts and I service the bigger accounts. At times, I do service smaller orders but majority of those are handled by my other salespersons. I don’t think I’ll be leaving the company forever, or anytime soon as least because Roy has kinda left the company under my care (!!!!) And I want to make the best out of this. So far, I guess my sales performance has been good (HOOORAYYY) except I’m always late for work, lol. We’re looking to expand further in terms of physical space and manpower. I so cannot wait to find a suitable BIGGER space to house all of us. Please remember to find me (email keline@mop.com.sg) if you want to print your class t-shirts or corporate t-shirts! I’ll make sure to do the best I can for you. 🙂 I AM HIRING TOO!!!!! Looking to hire a sales administrative staff to do some coordination work. So yes, contact me if you are looking for a full-time job. Please let me spam some testimonials that my customers have so kindly left me,

If you want to print your t-shirts, and you don’t ask me to print for you, I will be very sad okay!

    3) Friends – I must say I am very blessed to have understanding friends who will always stand by me no matter how hard I fall. We don’t get to meet each other often but we will always always be the best of friends. Most of us are busy with our own lives now, some of my friends are still schooling, some are working, and I’m working too. So it is hard to find time to hang out together. We stay in touch regularly over whatsapp/Twitter (hi Hanisa!) so I don’t miss out much about their lives. Thank you technology for making all these possible. Hehe and we’re always ranting to each other so I’m sure everything is good. :’)

(realised I didn’t take any picture with Andee, Lynette and Nique this year, WHAT?!?!)

    4) Love – Haha I don’t think I need to elaborate on how deeply in love Roy and I are. We’ve been cohabiting for more than 2 years now and we can never be happier. If you missed the post about us applying for BTO earlier this year here, our house estimated date of completion is in May 2016. Usually the collection of keys will be 3-6 months earlier. So the earliest I can get my house is end of 2015 OMG WHICH IS NEXT YEAR. And Roy hasn’t proposed to me yet (major hint here, hahaha I hint him everyday). If I really really have to find fault about being in a relationship then… the one thing about staying in a long committed relationship, especially when we are staying together, is that I can’t live recklessly. Well, I guess I could. Like just book an air tix and leave the house in the middle of the night but I need to account for my actions, not just to my lover but also my family. Don’t think that is something I can afford to do now haha.

portobello market-11This year we went for a Eurotrip since I was going to be in Dublin for my project presentation.

I love you baby! Thank you for accompanying me to sooo many places and always giving in to me no matter how much of a burden I am. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. You will always be by baby. (*inserts lots of hearts*)

2013 was good, 2014 will be even better!!! I’m feeling super positive about 2014 because there are many things that we’re planning to do. Thinking about all these plans makes me extremely excited!! Can’t wait for all the things to materialise. I’m also keeping a positive outlook when it comes to work because sometimes it can be just so draining but I know at the end of the day, everything will be worth while. It will be worth my fight, worth every sleepless night and countless hours spent!

Faith is why I’m here today and faith is why I made it through.

Cheers to to a better year and a better future, everyone!

    xoxo,
