An impromptu trip to Montigo Resort!

It was a really random and spontaneous decision for Roy & I to join Amelia and my cousin, Denzel, on their trip to Montigo. It was supposed to be their couple retreat but they were over at my place the night before where Denzel popped a random question, “arbor you guys come with us to Montigo tomorrow la!” And of course #spontaneousdoll was super siao on as usual and said “yes sure, let’s go!”

We got our tickets at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal the following morning and off we went to experience the famed resort. I had been dying to go ever since its opening 2 years ago but never got the chance to.

After a 45 minute ferry ride, we arrived at Nongsapura Ferry Terminal. It wasn’t difficult to locate our guides. There will be people shouting “Montigo” so just follow them and they will guide you to the shuttle bus. The journey from Nongsapura to Montigo was about 15 minutes bus ride.

When we got there, we were greeted by friendly attendants who serves us a welcome drink each and wet towels.

We were told check-in was only at 2-3pm onwards so we took the cab to the Nagoya and went for a massage. Guess what? I was surprised to see a huge range of free food for us. Completely free leh! We didn’t plan to go to this massage parlour, we just happened to walk pass it.

Excited girl helping herself to the food hahaha.

Complimentary instant noodles for all customers. 😛

After the relaxing massage session, we went for Ayam Penyet at Nagoya Hill to fill our growling tummies. Yummzz.

Back at the resort, we took our our gigantic whale float and started pumping them up! That’s Denzel and Amelia inflating their whale. 🙂

We bought lots of chips, instant noodles and lots of mineral water. Oh, we got beer too!

Went up to explore the rooms! The Master bedroom is gorgeous! Imagine waking up to the sea view in the morning.

They also have a spacious open-concept shower. Love the modern and minimalist look they executed throughout the resort. White, spacious, with a hint of black. Ahhh.

Roy and I stayed in the guest room, which wasn’t too bad actually! It was good enough for two and the bathroom was nothing short of awesome.

Step into the third storey and you will be greeted by the ivory walls of the rooftop.

Time to enjoy the pool within our villa!

Ame and Denzel! A big thank you to you guys for having us along on this trip!

Night came and we had a romantic in-villar barbecue dinner at the rooftop, complete with a personal butler and chef. Wow! The BBQ dinner was 999,000 rupiah for 2 people. (Around SGD105 for 2)

While waiting for them to set up the space, we chilled on the sofa and watched the sun set beneath the clouds.

What a splendid night spent dining under the stars with our closest friends.

The next morning, we had a sumptuous breakfast to kickstart our day. No complaints about the food. The only issue we had were the flies that kept hovering over our food.

That’s Ame and I having our girly time together lol! She was trying to put double eyelid tape so I could deepen my double eyelid crease. But it failed 🙁

Headed to the well-decorated bar, Tiigo, to chill.

Had a great game of Jenga with the peeps!! Lol everyone was chanting for me to lose T_T #burdendoll

Oh yes, and please never ever miss out on their to die for pizzas! We had them for two consecutive days because they were too good. The pizza had a thin and chewy crust, topped with generous amounts of mozzarella cheese. PLEASE. ORDER. THIS.

We spent our last evening just chilling by their shared pool, right in front of the Tiigo bar.

    Bikini from Billabong. 🙂

Practising my tree pose while balancing on the bean bag was no easy feat. montigo-30

If you’re looking for a shortgetaway, Montigo is a good choice where you can be away from the city and bask in the resort life over the weekend. I could stay in their infinity pools and munch on their pizzas all day. All 4 of us enjoyed the trip thoroughly and can’t wait to head back there again, perhaps this time with KX and Jaspi!

Great photos! I was at Montigo resort myself earlier this year with a bunch of girlfriends and we loved it!
