Nose fillers and Chin fillers with Astique Singapore

As some of you may already know (from IG, Snapchat or Dayre), I have recently gotten nose fillers, chin filler and botox done at Astique, The Aesthetic Clinic.

One of the issues I used to face (past tense ‘cos botox and filler solved the problem!) was the lack of jaw line. You can tell from my side profile in the below photo that I have no visible jawline, and it used to affect me a lot as my face would look fat and unflattering from certain angles. Jawline is quite important to me la, especially when my job involves a lot of photo taking and meeting people.

Despite my small frame, my face is considered chubby. Heck, I even had a double chin that Roy (my fiance) and I laugh about. Skinny body and a fat face don’t seem to match right??

    WHERE IS MY JAWLINE??!!

Paid a visit to Astique, The Aesthetic Clinic, to consult Dr Celine Leong about my issues and have them fixed. It is located at the heart of Orchard, Shaw Towers, which is very easily accessible from Orchard MRT Station.

The clinic has a professional and clean outlook that allows patients to feel comfortable at home. There are also tea and drinks for us patients.

While I was waiting for my turn for consultation, I noticed a lot of patients going for their appointments. They all ranged from 20s to 40s years old. What does that mean? Beauty is for everyone, no matter your age. Some people were there for fillers or botox. Some people were there for laser treatment to help with their complexion problems. Well, I was there for all 3. 🙂

It was finally my turn to meet Dr Celine Leong, she was very nice and professional. First, she wanted to understand my concerns. Thereafter, she advised about the possible types of treatment that could help me. She went further to ask about my allergy and skin condition because not all treatments are suitable for all skin types.

I was looking for a solution to my dull skin and uneven skintone. So laser was the way to go to help restore radiance, skin rejuvenation and even out my complexion. I’m already 25, and entering late 20s so it’s for sure that my skin is ageing… and I cannot watch it age!!! I need to do something about it. Laser can help in stimulating skin cell growth, and that is what I need.

My skin is slightly sensitive and is on the dry side. Hence, a too strong laser treatment may not be good for my delicate skin. Dr Celine Leong advised to tone down on the laser in order to be gentle on my face.

Other than my jawline, I was looking to lift my entire face a little with the help of heightening my nose bridge. My nose looks fine from the sides but the area between my eyes is quite flat. Hence, I wanted to enhance the top bridge area.

I explained to her about my double chin issue and she pointed out that I have a short chin, so she suggested for me to get chin fillers together with botox in order to achieve a V-shape face.. and a jawline!!Astique Fillers - 8

She mapped out my face on a piece of paper and explained the types of fillers that are available. As Astique, they mainly use Juvederm or Restylane.

    Nose fillers

Both Juvederm (Left) and Restylane (Right) are reversible and are just different brands of fillers made by different manufacturers. Reversible filler means that after injecting it , if there’s any need to reverse it, it can be dissolved immediately. You do not have to wait till the fillers get dissolved by your own body, which typically takes 6 – 12 months.

Because fillers contain Hyaluronic Acid, other than filling or voluminising specific parts of the face, it can help to keep the face moisturised and smooth.

Why did I decide to go ahead with fillers?
It was either fillers or surgery that I would go with. And since surgery is irreversible, and requires me to go under the knife, I wasn’t very keen on that.

Fillers was the best option for me because:
    1) It is reversible, I can change my face back if I want to.
    2) The results are natural looking.
    3) There is almost no downtime.

So at Astique, I did these:
    – Nose fillers
    – Chin fillers
    – Botox on my jaws (Tru-V Jaw Slimming)
    – Laser treatments for my complexion

The therapist was very gentle and asked if I was comfortable and if the pressure applied was okay for me.

The numbing cream was applied to my entire face so that I would not find the fillers or laser painful.Astique Fillers - 17 Astique Fillers - 18 Astique Fillers - 19

I had to wait 15 minute for the numbing cream to take effect and was later taken into the treatment room.Astique Fillers - 20 Nose fillers

I was very nervous la!! I mean, I was gonna inject something into my face and I’m afraid of needles!! But Dr Celine came in very calmly and explained to me what she was gonna do. I just let her did what she had to.

First, she started by marking my face with a white crayon at the areas where she was going to inject the fillers and botox.Astique Fillers - 23

The injections started and I kept my eyes closed all the way. I thought it was gonna be a scary process but I felt no pain at all on my nose and chin!!!! ZERO pain. All thanks to the numbing cream. The only slight pain I felt was at my jaw area. But it was totally bearable, unlike my IPL armpit hair removal experience that got me tearing hahah. No tears for this one for me though! So if you can survive IPL hair removal ant bites, you surely can survive fillers.

Instant sharper nose and chin! And is that a slight jawline I see?

I love that it looks so natural and you cannot tell that I got anything done on my face, except realise that my face has been lifted and features are more prominent now. There were also no scars and visible bruises for me. There were 2 small marks left behind by the injections on my nose which could be easily covered by makeup. But I just left the clinic without any makeup.

Then we proceeded to get laser treatments done.

I did 3 types of laser:
    1) PPX Acne Treatment – to help acne situations that did not respond to topical medications. PPX combines a gentle vacuum with therapeutic broadband light to help rid skin of acne-causing impurities.
    2) Laser Skin Rejuvenation – The light energy helps to stimulate collagen growth, smoothen and improve pores, removing pigmentation and reducing wrinkles.
    3) Pore Toning Laser – CoolTouch T3 laser targets inner layers of the skin, to promote growth of new collagen, and enhance skin elasticity.

The laser treatment has helped to fade the my side chin dark skin tone. I’m happy to see the results on my face! Even my friends and family commented that my skin has brightened up all of a sudden. Hahah. Can’t wait for my skin tone to be more even out with more sessions to come.

It has been over a month since I got my fillers and botox done and they have set in nicely with my face. Noone knew that I did anything to my face even!! Except that they found me “prettier” and more awake. Now I know why so many ladies love fillers. Because I love them too!

Botox takes at least 2 weeks to set in and may take up to a month for full effect, so I expect my jawline to get even more obvious in the next few weeks.

Here are some recent photos of myself I took recently:

      Hi Celine,

It’s $909.50 nett if I remember correct. It’s for 1 vial, you can use it multiple times depending on your needs. Let’s say if you only use 0.3ml for the first visit, you still have 0.7ml to use next time. 🙂 Hope this helps!

      Hi,

The fillers are $909.50 nett for 1 vial. You can use them for different locations and for different visits. Let’s say you only use 0.1ml for your nose, you can use the remaining 0.9ml somewhere else, on at your next few visits. Hope this helps!
