What to buy in Daiso – Part 2

Hello! I’m back with my second post on Daiso because my previous Daiso post is actually my most popular blog post. So I thought I could share a little bit more about other things I bought in Daiso. Went to Daiso at Vivo City because it’s huge and most things are available there. Sometimes if you go to the smaller stores like Ion or Plaza Singapura, you might not get certain beauty products like fake eyelashes!

Anyway before shopping at Daiso, Roy and I had dinner at Sushi Tei! We always dine at Sushi Tei whenever we’re at Vivo City hahah.

That’s Roy being obsessed with Carrot Fantasy. Omg if you like strategy games, you should totally play this. It got Roy and I hooked for two weeks till we finally finished the entire game hoho! Best part, IT’S FREE AT THE APP STORE!

Look at the awkward waiter behind me haha! He must have seen me camwhoring and was trying to get out of frame but failed.

Was really bored while waiting for our food to be served.

So here’s another picture of me haha.

     Golden Roll hmm~

    I had Tenzaru Chasoba.

And Roy had Japanese Curry Rice with Chicken.

Okay last picture of me before I start the Daiso post!!

We went to Daiso on a Saturday evening and here are my buys!

OMG the Japanese are such geniuses! These trays are actually extendable. You just have to follow the instructions provided on the paper! I went to Daiso specially to buy these paper trays/drawer storage because of my growing pile of notes all over my table. They have it in glittery pink, white, black and blue. I previously bought the glittery pink onse and wanted to buy the black ones this time round but THEY RAN OUT OF IT! As I was in desperate need of clearing my table, I bought the one in white. These are sold separately, the tray and the drawer. Sometimes the drawer might not fit perfectly into the tray and might get stuck while getting pulled out. So please make sure you check them and ensure they fit nicely before buying! Shop smart!

Also bought a similar Color Life drawer storage which is smaller than the one I bought the other time. It’s to store my stationaries like post its, paper clips, and staples!

Cath Kidston inspired magazine files! So pretty right hehe. 🙂 They were the last ones available when I saw them so I had to get them. 2 for $2! I think the ones at IKEA are 6 for $3? But aiya these are printed and pink and chio haha I won’t mind spending a little bit more on them, heh! Even my tomboyish younger sister came into my room one day  and went, “eh where did you buy these from? So pretty I also want to buy!

    For the…

Craft punches!! Ohhh I love all them scrapbooking stuff!

These are super awesome buys for all the craftholics out there. I’m a cheapo, I have to admit that. Usually craft punches can cost $20 and above at scrapbooking stores and they’ll blow a huge hole in my pocket. So thank you Daiso for stocking craft stuff! I must say I’m quite lucky to have gotten a few craft punches and acrylic stamps. People always ask me where I get them from and when I say Daiso, they’ll be like “huh?!?! got meh! why I never see!” Yes, have. You just have to comb the whole store. I am a crazy shopper at Daiso, I will search high and low everywhere! There are normal paper punches and border punches.

They used to stock purple, pink, green, blue inkpads all in PASTEL SHADES! I bought one and lost it. Couldn’t find them ever again, sigh!

STICKERS! Journal stickers. I am a crazy fan of stickers, I don’t mind trading stickers even at my current age of 22. I will ALWAYS stop at any shop if I ever spot stickers, even in mama shops. If you look around harder in Daiso, you’ll actually find some nice stickers. These stickers I bought are good for planners and diaries where you can mark down special dates or events. Can also add in stickers related to your activites, like studying, travelling, have coffee, etc!

So you are planning a picnic for a friend and you want to take nice girly pictures at the botanic gardens.. but you don’t know where to get a picnic mat. You know the traditional looking one which checkered prints. Yes you can find them at Daiso. Jang Jang! They are available in different sizes. I got my picnic mat in this photoshoot from Daiso!^^

Iphone/ipod USB cable. Roy and I got this a while back and we use it in his car. The wire is retractable and extendable up to 60cm so it’s especially useful when your power socket is slightly further away. It’s also small and handy, good to keep in your bag without getting entangled with the rest of the small loose things, like keys. OOPS I JUST REALISED I TOOK THE WRONG PICTURE! THE ONE WE HAVE IS RETRACTABLE! Haha the one in the picture is not retractable. Okay so you know just go and find the retractable one okay!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST.. MY FAVOURITE!!

It was sold out when I went there!! I grabbed the last two available boxes of these fake eyelashes in true blue Singaporean kiasu spirit! It’s either they didn’t replenish their stocks when I was there or that a lot of people have been buying them!

That’s all! Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Do let me know if you want me to recommend more products, I always never fail to go crazy at Daiso haha. I’ve also tried the Charcoal Face Wash and mask quite a few years back. Also, apologies for the distorted quality of the photos because… idk what happened during the uploading process that kinda screwed up the photos.

I am so busy with school and my eye bags are hopeless. I scare myself every morning when I look into the mirror. Le sigh. Anyway, one term paper down today! Two mid-term tests done last week. I have one test this Thursday and another on next Wednesday. Wish me luck people!! Will be back this weekend with a few more blogposts HEHE! CAN’T WAIT!

    xoxo.

I love your blog! I found it while searching for things to buy in Daiso and I think yours is the best among the rest on the internet. The day after I found your blog, I went to Daiso and bought, like, all of their fake eyelashes. You should go to the Tampines 1 Daiso, there are tons of fake eyelashes there!

Thank you so much Huiying!:) I’ve never been to the Daiso at Tampines 1, I should really go there some day. I can’t seem to find my favourite eye lashes at Daiso that often anymore, they are always sold out 🙁 Thank you for the recommendation!! 😀

Hello Kayura, I think the biggest Daiso should be either the one at IMM or at Vivo City. I have been really lucky to chance upon art & craft stuff at Daiso because most of my friends didn’t get to see them. You can try these two outlets, I usually get my art and craft stuff there! Hope it helps!:)

      Hello Kayura,

You can take the MRT to Jurong East MRT. You can either walk to IMM, or take a shuttle bus. 🙂
